Bush builds Nazi death camps

Posted in News on May 31st, 2007

All my friends think that I’m a “conspiracy theorist”. I actually view myself as realist. I hope after reading this news article, that your eyes are as open as mine.

I’m thinking that when the elections roll around, some “incident” is going to happen. Bush will declare martial law and stay in office. Once they have absolute control over our nation, anyone that protests will get put in the detention centers. Hmmm…..sounds so familiar.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Posted in News on December 31st, 2006

The end of another year. I don’t know about you guys, but this always makes me pensive. I reflect on all the things I did and didn’t do during the year. I guess that’s where the whole resolution thing comes from. I tend to think of this as a great time to set yearly goals. So, here are some of my yearly goals…or at least the ones that don’t involve donkey shows and crazy one-eyed chickens.

1. Finish four comic books. (Professionals do twelve a year. Of course, since I have a day job, I still should be able to pump out one comic every three months…slacker.)

2. Get paid at least once for doing storyboards. (I’m storyboarding a short film right now. I’ll put together a portfolio and start beating the e-pavement.)

3. Go on a trip outside of the country. ( I think getting a passport would be essential for this one)

4. Not procrastinate on getting my passport.

5. To stop using the word “nice”.

6. Purchase a thesaurus that does not have the word “nice” in it.

Post a comment and let me know what you guys have planned for this year.

SHORT STORY COLLABORATION

Posted in News on October 1st, 2006

Alright guys. Today is October 1st and we are officially in my favorite month of the year.
To kick off the Halloween experience I’m proposing a project. As you all know I’m an illustrator. Most of my friends are also incredibly talented people. Although, with the exception of Rhett, they are also incredibly LAZY.

So, I’m throwing down the gauntlet.

I am asking for everyone to collaborate on a collection of short stories that will be hosted on this site by the end of the month. It will probably come in installments as I get people’s work sent to me. The only stipulation is that it has to be centered around our chosen theme, mythical creatures. It can be writing, illustration, poetry, etc. It doesn’t matter what form it takes as long as it sticks with the theme. Also, it needs to be short. No more than 4 or 5 pages, but it can be as short as one page.

If this project goes well, we plan to do more in the future. If this particular project goes well, we might even publish it.

Ok, everyone you’ve got exactly one month. Get to it. -Tony

ACL Festival

Posted in News on September 15th, 2006

I haven’t written a post in a while, so I figured that I would tell you guys what we are doing this weekend. Since we live in Austin TX, it would be a sin not to visit the Austin City Limits Music Festival. This would be especially agrevious, since Ween and the Flaming Lips are playing back to back on Sunday. Rhett and I will be there along with some of our close friends. If you’ve never been to a festival in Austin, you are missing out. There are many reasons the city motto is “keep Austin Weird”. What can I say, I love this town.
Also, we plan on putting up our first pod cast this weekend. (very exciting)

I’ll keep everyone updated. -Tony
